This necklace is handcrafted by rural Swazi women using waste black & white card to create the origami beads, which are then coated with a water based varnish to make them durable and water resistant. A member of Swaziland Fair Trade, the creators, Quazi Design, are passionate about promoting social and environmental awareness in design, by creating beautiful objects out of up-cycled paper and employing local artisans under fair trade conditions.
