These earrings are handcrafted by rural Swazi women using layers of up-cycled magazines which are then coated with a water based varnish to make them durable and water resistant. A member of Swaziland Fair Trade, the creators are passionate about promoting social and environmental awareness in design, by creating beautiful objects out of recycled paper and employing local artisans under fair trade conditions.
