On its own to create subtle ambiance, or grouped together to make a romantic statement, this hand crocheted votive is certain to add warm contemporary individuality to your décor.
This votive is handcrafted using unbleached cotton string around a cylindrical glass vase, by women from the township of Khayelitsha, on the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa. These women are employed as part of a community program, providing for clinics and support centers in their town. Their traditional crocheting skills are utilised and enhanced to create these stunning contemporary votives. Available in ‘Barnacle’ or ‘Hydra’ stitch.
As appreciated with handmade products, each votive may vary slightly.
